Super Bowl LVI may be over but it’s never too early to look at the NFL teams that could be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy next February.

The big game has come and gone, bringing the 2021 NFL season to a conclusion. Few expected either the Cincinnati Bengals or Los Angeles Rams to be playing for the Lombardi Trophy at the start of the postseason, which goes to show how unpredictable the NFL can be.

There is a long way to go between today and Super Bowl LVII in Glendale but some NFL teams are better positioned than others to make a run to the big game during the 2022 season. Let’s take a look at 10 favorites, beginning with the Arizona Cardinals.

10. Super Bowl 57 favorites – Arizona Cardinals

For just over half the season, it looked as if the road to SoFi Stadium would have to go through Arizona in the NFC. A second-half collapse relegated the Cardinals to Wild Card status, where they fell to the eventual NFC Champion Rams.

It will be a big year for Kyler Murray, who is entering his fourth year in the NFL and needs to demonstrate that he can put together a full season of dominant play. The same can be said for head coach Kliff Kingsbury, who could find himself on the hot seat if Arizona wilts down the stretch for the third year in a row.

With that being said, the Cardinals do have a lot of pieces already in place to make a deep playoff run. Another big leap forward from Murray could have him join Matthew Stafford and Joe Burrow as No. 1 overall picks to lead their team to the Super Bowl.
